DANCE OFFS:WHAT ARE THE DANCE OFFS?
The Dance Offs are an exciting event held at the very end of the
competition that determines the OVERALL winners in both the 7-12 age level and the 13-21 age level for
the Duo through Production Categories.
Soloists are not eligible to compete in the DANCE OFFS.
The Judges select the Top 7-10 entries in each of the two age
levels from the entire week of competition to dance again to determine the
Overall Dance Off Winners!
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU
HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE DANCE OFFS?
At the end of each day, the titles of the highest scoring dances so
far will be posted for all to see.
Teachers and dancers must watch the board as the week goes along to see
how they are doing in the placement for the top 7 - 10 dances. Judges will then review the list and on the very last day of competition, the
final DANCE OFF PARTICIPANTS list will be posted! Occasionally the Judges will add a number
that they wish to see again that may not have been previously posted on the
list!
No one is guaranteed a position in the DANCE OFFS until the very
last dance on the very last day and the FINAL DANCE OFF PARTICIPANTS list has
been posted.
Studios are allowed only two (2) entries in each of the Dance Off
Levels. If more have qualified, judges
will decided which two dances they would like to appear on the FINAL DANCE OFF list.
WORKSHOPS
American Dance Awards believes in the importance of motivating
and educating all dancers on their individual paths to success. In keeping with our commitment, a wide
variety of Workshop classes will be offered at all levels by the ADA Staff
during the ADA South Africa Event. A

WRAP UP session on the last day where they will have the opportunity to hear
from the judges, ask questions and share information about the ADA experience.
