American Dance Awards Dance-Off!

The Ultimate Challenge!

The top scoring entries from each category (solo, duo/trio, small group, large group, etc. ) from each room (team) of competition will perform in a special Dance-off Show. . Cash award winners are determined by this performance. The 9 & under and Junior dance-off will be on July 9th, 2015 and the 13 & over on July 11th, 2014.

Dance-off participants are determined by the total of the performance score only.

The number of 13 & Over Dance Off participants is based on the following:
2 Teams= 7 from each category
3 Teams = 5 from each category

The 9 & Under Dance Off participants is based on the following:
Top 3 highest scoring 9 & under soloists from each team. 
Top 10 highest scoring 9 & under entries duo through production from each team will compete for the Prestigious ROSEMARIE BOYDEN MEMORIAL AWARD and $1,000.00

The Junior Dance Off participants is based on the following:
Top 5 Scoring Entries from each category 2 or 3 teams.No soloist will perform more than once in the dance-off. No duos can be the same dancers. Studios are allowed only 3 routines per category in the dance-off. The 4th routine will be dropped if qualified for the DanceOff.

"THE ELITE 6"
The top 6 highest scoring entries will be announced immediately following the Dance Off! They will then dance again at the gala and be judged by a panel of 7. The results will be tabulated live by use of a skating system as each judge will hold up a card with a number on it (1-6) in how they ranked each entry! The winner with the most ones or an average of the lowest score will receive: 

1st Place $5,000.00
2nd Place $3,000.00
3rd Place $2,000.00
4th Place $500.00
5th Place $300.00
6th Place $300.00

The "ELITE 6" are not eligible to receive any other award(s) from the Dance Off! Getting in the ELITE 6 is your AWARD! 
An ELITE 6 nominee is guaranteed a cash scholarship! Only "ELITE 6" are eligible to win the Grand Prizes!

Young Dancer Division Ages 7-9
Junior Dancer Division Ages 10-12
Teen Dancer Division Ages 13-15
Senior Dancer Division Ages 16-21
Adult Division Ages 22 & Over. Can choose Parent/Adult as a classification! 

ALL SOLOS will be divided into male and female categories and by exact age.The age of the soloist is determined as of July 1st of the current year

All other ages are determined as of the date of your regional.

CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS. 

America’s 12 & Under Choreographer of the Year and Young Choreographer of the Year
will be the highest choreography score from either the Junior Dance-Off or the 9 & under Dance-Off! The choreographer and routine must have qualified at a regional event, won a Diamond or Young Choreography Award in that regional and be in the Dance-Off.

America’s 13 & Over Choreographer of the Year and Young Choreographer of the Year
will be the highest choreography score from the 13 & Over Dance-Off! The choreographer and routine must have qualified at a regional event, won a Diamond or Young Choreography Award in that regional to be eligible and make the Dance-Off.

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR AWARD.
If your Studio won a Diamond Choreography Award in a Regional and the choreographer is not the studio owner, partner, or a full time staff person then you must let us know and we will consider that choreographer as a guest choreographer. 

IMPORTANT DANCE-OFF INFORMATION! 
No studio is allowed to have more than 3 entries in any dance-off category with the exception of the solo category! The 9 & under dance-off will be limited to no more than 3 entries total in the dance-off, with the exception of solos. High score prevails. No soloist will perform more than one solo in the dance-off. Duos cannot consist of the same two dancers.
CONVENTION

ADA offers a full convention along with the championship competition. With over 60 workshop classes and an all-star faculty the week is an educational and motivating experience for every dancer. All participating dancers will receive FREE class cards based on the amount of their entry fees.  Additional cards may be purchased, as well as an upgrade to an unlimited class card will be available. We suggest early registration for the convention, as classes will be limited. Registration forms may be obtained by calling:

Classes are held almost every day and will be divided by age levels.
