Victoria Salisbury In Motion Dance Project - Orlando FL 

 I started dancing when I was two years old at a small, one room dance studio in Winter Garden Florida. I am nine years old now and have continued dancing ever since. I have taken many recreational tap and ballet classes. However, this is my first year competing as a member of In Motion Dance Projects’ Company.   I dance because I can learn new dance styles, keep growing as an artist, and make new friends. For example, dancing makes me feel happy because I can express myself through movement. When I learn new things I can help teach a younger dancer a new move and even help them with it. In my opinion, dancing helps me become better at problem solving skills that I can use my entire life.   I feel full of joy when I dance. Competitions are my favorite time of year because I can truly shine and try my best. It doesn’t matter what my score is as long as I know I have given my best effort. At competitions, I always clap for everyone because I think we should all be proud of what we do on stage no matter what.   My plan is to continue dancing at In Motion Dance Project until I am a graduating senior. I will work hard and give my “all” until then. I hope others find happiness, grace and kindness when they see me dance and it will inspire them to focus on what they love too. I dance because I love it and it is a part of me always.
